On Friday, April 11, former Maize Senior High School standouts Brynley Smith and Kennedy Topping’s current college team, the Emporia State Hornets, lost 4-3 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats.

The game took place at Bearcat Softball Field. This was their first matchup against the Bearcats this season.

The Hornets’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 4 p.m. at Bearcat Softball Field against Northwest Missouri State Bearcats.
