On Friday, March 28, Valley Center High School standouts, including Alex Gillig, competed in an NCAA Division II baseball game for Newman Jets

On Friday, March 28, three former Valley Center High School standouts, including Alex Gillig, DJ Michaud and Jared Newton’s current college team, the Newman Jets, lost 14-8 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Central Oklahoma Bronchos.

The game took place at Wendell Simmons Field. This was their first matchup against the Bronchos this season.

The Jets’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 29 at 2 p.m. at Wendell Simmons Field against Central Oklahoma Bronchos.
