Alex Gillig, alongside two other former Valley Center High School standouts, played on Sunday, March 23 in NCAA Division II baseball game for Newman Jets

On Sunday, March 23, three former Valley Center High School standouts, including Alex Gillig, DJ Michaud and Jared Newton’s current college team, the Newman Jets, lost 10-5 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Emporia State Hornets.

The game took place at Glennen Field. This was their third matchup against the Hornets this season.

The Jets’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 at 2 p.m. at McCarthy Field against Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers.
