Bucek and Nemi named KCAC Tennis Players of the Week as Threshers sweep the award
Milan Bucek and Fatima Nemi, both of Bethel College, have earned the KCAC Men's and Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Feb. 27-March 5 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

Bucek, the #7 Central Region ranked player, defeated the Central Region's #12 ranked player in a third set super after picking up a 6-2 victory in the first game. He took on Hudson Dick again in doubles, where he and partner Petr Kollar picked up the 6-2 victory to start the doubles sweep.

Nemi played in the #1 doubles position with partner Daniela Herrera. The duo took on a tough doubles pairing from JBU, which consisted of a former NCAA DII player in Tan. The Threshers came away with the 7-5 victory to complete the doubles sweep. Fatima then took on Woodring, the second part of JBU's #1 doubles team, in a singles matchup. Nemi picked up the two-set victory 6-3, 6-4.
