Strong Defense Not Enough For Larks Against Red Devils
The Larks were not able to take advantage of a poor shooting night from Allen Community College on Wednesday evening and fell 61-43. Hesston is now 0-2 in the Jayhawk Conference. Sophomore Corbin Parnell was a bright spot for the Larks scoring 14 points which included going 4-for-8 from the 3-point line. The defense for Hesston did step up, holding the Red Devils to a combined 39.7 percent clip shooting overall and forcing 11 turnovers. The leading scorer for Allen was Naomi Smith with 13 points.
